U.S. Users to Buy Crypto from Bank Accounts - MetaMask now enables its U.S.-based users to buy cryptocurrencies directly from their bank accounts with no settlement delays in an effort to expand the availability of payment options for its consumers.
A collaboration between ConsenSys and the rapid ACH settlement merchant Sardine has made this service available. Prior to three weeks ago, Visa, a16z, and Google Ventures participated in a $51.5 million Series B fundraising round for Sardine.
MetaMask aims to increase its dominance in the software crypto wallet market by making it simpler for consumers to manage and purchase cryptocurrency.
MetaMask Users Get Instant ACH
Sardine's fast ACH settlement, in contrast to traditional ACH (Automated Clearing House) providers, is finished in a matter of minutes and is functional on bank holidays. Compared to cards, instant ACH also permits higher limits.
Users living in the United States who use this service to purchase cryptocurrency can do so for a maximum of $3000 per day, $5,000 per week, and $25,000 per month. These restrictions, according to MetaMask, are meant to ensure that fraud and scams are kept to a minimum.
Users should also be aware that in order to utilize this payment method, they must meet Metamask's KYC requirements as well as Sardine's. Over 30 cryptos are currently supported by the option, and more will be added as MetaMask adds more.
